Those of you who are still trekkies may be looking for DVD boxed sets on Ebay. Keep in mind that there are several things to remember about the various incarnations out there. First, the asian boxed sets are not necessarily "bootleg" but they generally are inferior quality. You generally will get all the episodes but often the lead in scenes will be mismatched or incorrect. And, the audio may even be off in a few places. If you can put up with that then no problem. If you are an original series fan be aware the editions in the bright colors yellow,etc are now obsolete due to the release of the new remastered versions that have updated special effects & backgrounds and that there are  versions of these that play in HD or regular DVD players. Lastly consider other sources on Ebay as Wal-Mart.com recently concluded a sale where Voyager boxed sets were only $34.50, In other words getting them on ebay is fine, IF you get a simialr price. Voyager boxed sets, as STTNG and DS9 sets have dropped dramatically in price. The new remastered TOS are on sale new at Traget this Christmas at $46 so why pay more. Be choosy & get a bargain and remeber to compare the total shipped price on Ebay with what you can buy the sets for at the local store too. (Especially true of Stargate boxed sets too. Target has them on sale off & on for as low as $13.99) In other words be a smart trekkie because the economics of today are somewhat different than that of the future. (We are still plagued by a Ferengi attitude in this world).
