DRUM SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

These setup instructions are for a Titan 5 piece drum set.  There may be slight differences between these instructions and your drum set because not all drum sets are the same.  Also if you have different or more pieces, there will be a different set up for those.

Take the Bass Drum body, heads, and rims aside and prepare for assembly of the Bass Drum - Lay the Bass Drum flat, front side up. (This can be determined by the location of the Bass Drum leg mounting holes; these are closer to the front.)

With the front of the Bass Drum facing up, place one of the Bass Drum heads on the Bass Drum. (The head is wider than the shell of the Bass Drum and will fit over the lip of the Bass Drum Shell.) Next place one of the Bass Drum rims on top of the Bass Drum head. (Do not attempt to force the head inside of the rim. The groove inside of the rim is for the Bass Drum pedal.) Next locate the bolts and hooks for the Bass Drum. Place a washer on to the bolt and then place the bolt through the hook. Insert the bolt into one of the lugs located on the Bass Drum, place the hook onto the lip of the Bass Drum rim and using the enclosed Drum Key tighten loosely, repeat with the remaining bolts.

To tighten the Bass Drum head and rim, locate the top of the Bass Drum, this can be determined by the mount for the Tom Tom hardware. Starting with the bolt at the 10 o'clock position, tighten the bolt a few turns and then move to the bolt at the 7 o'clock position, tighten this bolt a few turns and continue around with the 11 o'clock, 5 o'clock, 9 o'clock and finally the 3 o'clock. (Your Bass Drum may have more than 6 lugs, if so continue to place and tighten the bolts in a star pattern until you have placed a bolt in all of the lugs.) Do not tighten each bolt at once as this will cause the head and rim to be uneven. Tighten each bolt a little at a time until the head is smooth and free of wrinkles, and then give each bolt approximately one more turn - Flip the Bass Drum over and repeat the above steps using the other head.

When complete, take the two straight Bass Drum Legs and insert them into the leg brackets, (these may already be attached to your Bass Drum depending on the model you have purchased), even them out to keep the Bass Drum from rolling on the floor. Your Bass Drum is now complete.

Your Floor Tom is assembled basically the same way as the Bass Drum; however you will need to attach the three Floor Tom Legs to the drum. Your Floor Tom is now complete.

Your two small Toms are assembled the same way as the Floor Tom, minus the legs.

The Snare is complete and only needs to be placed on the Snare Stand, however you may need to slide the lever located on the Snare to Snare position and tighten the knob a bit to get the proper "Snare Drum" sound. Do not over tighten.

Take the Tom Brackets and adjust them to an L shape and tighten the wing bolt so that they will maintain a 90 degree angle. Insert the long end of the bracket into the mount located at the top of the Bass Drum. Tighten with the drum key, repeat with the remaining Tom Bracket. (Standing behind the Bass Drum) Attach the largest Tom to the Tom Bracket on your right. If you have trouble getting the Tom Bracket to slide into the mount on the Tom, simply turn the Tom upside down then insert the Tom Bracket in to the mount on the Tom, flip Tom over and position to your comfort. Repeat for the other tom.  Tighten the brackets and mounts and your Tom Toms are complete.

To assemble the Crash Cymbal, open the stand bass and insert the middle extension pole into the top of the stand, next add the top pole with the Cymbal Arm and adjust to the height that is comfortable to you. Remove the wing nut and the top piece of felt from the Cymbal Arm, place the Cymbal onto the Arm and let it rest on the bottom piece of felt, place the piece of felt that you removed back onto the Arm and on top of the Cymbal, finally place the wing nut back on the Arm and tighten until Cymbal produces the desired tone.

To set up the Hi Hat, unfold the stand and position the pedal under the stand. Place the center rod over the pole that runs through the stand, position as desired and tighten. Next place the bottom Cymbal onto the top of the center pole, this Cymbal will just rest on the pole. Take the enclosed mounting clamp and remove the first nut and first rubber or felt piece and place the clamp through the center of the top Cymbal with the second rubber or felt piece sitting on the top of the Cymbal. Next place the first rubber or felt piece back onto the clamp and then the nut and tighten. Finally slide the top Cymbal down the rod until it is resting on the bottom Cymbal, step on the pedal until the rod slides down approx. 1/2 an inch. Tighten top Cymbal. (When the Hi Hat pedal is pressed the top Cymbal will lower and come into contact with the bottom cymbal.)

Set up the Throne stand and slide on the seat.

Attach the Bass Pedal by sliding the bottom of the pedal lip onto the Bass Drum rim, and then tighten the locking device.

Your drum set is now complete. Unwrap the sticks and start playing!  Keep in mind you may have to make some comfort adjustments until your drums are in proper position for your comfort and drum playing enjoyment. Thank you and enjoy your drums!
