Spring Equinox - Celebrating New Life & Growth

The Spring Equinox occurs each year around March 21st when the Sun appears directly above the Earth's equator. It is one of the four great solar festivals of the year, including Winter Solstice, Summer Solstice and Fall Equinox. In perfect balance, day and night are equal, announcing the lengthening of days and moving into the side of light.

The Spring Equinox is sacred to dawn, youth, the morning star and the East. The Saxon goddess, Eostre is a dawn goddess. From her name,  Eostre we get the direction "East" and the holiday "Easter". Just as the dawn is the time of new light, so the Spring Equinox is the time of new life.

Spring Equinox celebrates the return of life and growth to the thawing earth. From this day forth, Spring will arrive, and with her, a wild spurt of growth begins. This holiday is truly a celebration of life and nature.

Spring Equinox represents new life and growth. This is the perfect holiday to plant  the seeds of desire and fulfillment necessary for your personal growth as you journey on your path of life. New ventures may be aided by the spirit of life and growth that represent Spring Equinox.
