There's no question that fake Juicy Couture bags are RAMPANT on eBay. But of course, no seller would be in their right mind to admit that they're selling a fake bag on eBay. And there are a ton of sellers out there who have gotten away with it, even while posting large clear pictures of the fake bag.

I could tell you right now the difference between real and fake bags. But some of these differences would be extremely hard to tell by looking at the pictures. My guide will tell you exactly WHAT to look for in the pictures and where the obvious fakery of the bag will shine when it's photographed.

Here is what a fake bag is

Fake bags:

1. Not made out of real leather.
They're made of PVC leather or "fake leather"

2. Smells like chemicals because of the paint and PVC
Pictures won't give you a smell, but the bag will look extremely shiny. Real leather doesn't shine so much.

3. Inner cloth is NOT soft cotton.
The fake bags have a nylon lining inside which is course and rough. Again, pictures won't help you here.

Doesn't help you much does it, if you're just comparing pictures of bags, the fakes and reals pretty much look the same in pictures, if you don't know what to look for.

Characteristics of Real Juicy Couture bags:

1. Every real Juicy Couture bag made since 2005 that has a metal clasp attaching the opening of the two far ends of the bag will always be Heart Shaped clasps.
If the clasp is NOT heart-shaped, it is fake.

REAL:

FAKE:

Notice the non-heart shaped clasp.

2. Every real Juicy Couture bag has a 9-digit ID on the reverse side of the pink label inside the bag.
If the bag does NOT have the 9-digit ID on the reverse side of the label, it is FAKE.

REAL:

Remember folks, you have to tell the seller to look on the inside of the pink label for this 9-digit number. If your seller says the bag does not have the 9-digit number, it is a FAKE.

Knowing What to Look For in the Pictures:

REAL:

This is a picture of a REAL Juicy couture handbag leather clasp connecting the handle of the bag to the metal rings and the bag itself. Notice there is no difference in the material. It is all leather and smooth and seamless.

FAKE:

This is a picture of a FAKE Juicy Couture "leather" clasp. Notice the plastic smooth finish lining around the clasp.

It is in these clasps connecting the metal rings to the handle and the bag, that the REAL material of the bag is made most obvious. On a fake Juicy, you can tell by looking at the clasp that it is obviously NOT real leather.

Now let me put them side by side for easier comparison.

Remember, the LEFT (first) picture is REAL.
the RIGHT (second) picture is FAKE.

SEE the difference?

Tips when Buying a Juicy Couture handbag on eBay:

1. Ask the seller to put up CLEAR photos of the clasps connecting the bag to the handle and metal rings. If there is a clear smooth plastic lining around it, you KNOW it is a fake.

2. Always make sure the seller puts up his/her own photos.

3. Ask the seller where they purchased the Juicy Couture bag. And even request that they put up a copy of the receipt of the bag in the auction to verify they bought it from an official store. (Neiman Marcus, Nordstroms, etc...)

Final Note: Remember that Juicy Couture handbags retail for at least $200. If the "brand new with tags" Juicy Couture handbag is going for a very low Buy It Now price, you should be very suspicious.

Happy Bidding!

More Important Information

You will see many sellers are mass selling many Juicy Couture handbags, claiming that they purchased it "directly from the manufacturer" which is why they are able to sell it for low prices.

Look at this site. http://www.bag-maker.com/ <--- This is a website based in China specializing in making fake copies of Juicy Couture bags. Do the pictures look familiar? It is what the sellers of fake bags are using as their Gallery Photos.
