Charms are always a natural substance, perhaps a plant that has a strange shape, such as  four leaf clovers, which is said to bring luck, or pebbles in the shape of an eye, which are thought to be protective.

Stones with natural holes in them are a classic example of magical charms.  Known as holy stones, these perforated flints or fossils were traditionally used to protect animals.  The stones were collected from the beach or riverbanks. 

Other charms include plant materials, such as herbs.  Mint is a charm for money, sage is for wisdom, and oak is believed to protect one from lightning when it is put into a red charm bag and worn everyday. Although I think the easiest way to prevent one from lightning is not to stand in a lightning storm! 

Lucky Charm Bracelet Spell

Charm bracelets go in and out of fashion but their root derive from magical use, manipulating the secret powers of objects.  Lucky charms may be understood as a form of amulet, talisman, or ex voto.

1. Choose a charm that represents your goal.
2. At the New Moon place this charm beside a small pink candle.
3. Charge the candle with your desire, carve and dress if you like and burn it.
4. When the candle burns out, attach the charm to a bracelet
5. Wear it or reserve in a safe place
6. When this goal is achieved, set another goal.
7. Choose another charm and begin again. Should you reconsider and change your mind regarding any goal, merely remove that charm and begin again at the New Moon.

Bloodstone Charm

Bloodstone is reputed to encourage wound healing, and also to prevent wounds.

• Wear a bloodstone for prevention
• Apply to the wound as appropriate. Gently bind to bandages. Do not Use instead of going to a Doctor! Use common sense!
• Carry a bloodstone within a red charm bag

Hematite Magic Charm A Headache Relief Charm

Place a hematite crystal gemstone over the spot where your head throbs.  Amazonite and jet may be used in a similar fasion.

I have to add this one for all the Harry Potter fans!

Bezoar Stones

Bezoar derives from the Persian pad zahr poison expelling. Bezoar stones are concretions found in the stomachs of animals, usually goats, credited with anti doting poison and removing illness.  The typical method of use is to bind the bezoar to the afflicted area.

Amulets

Amethyst Amulet

Wearing amethysts allegedly offers magical protection against plagues.  Remember to cleanse all gemstones used as amulets, charms or talismans frequently. Amethyst will dull when they need charging.

Among the other wealth generating Chinese animal amulets are the dragon tortoise, the mongoose, and the cow, all reclining upon a treasure trove.  The cow is among Earth's many sacred cows and, according to legend, if she draws wealth toward you, in exchange you must refrain from eating beef.  Great for the vegetarian!

Amulets, similar to charms, has a single purpose and may be worn or carried all the time.  Amulets can take all shapes and will have prticular relevance for the person who carries one.  Often made in the shape of the hand to ward off harm.

Love Oracle Boneset

Two boneset roots are required in this Cayuga Spell to determine whether love will flourish.

Designate each to represent one person.  Hold the roots together to see if they will intertwine.  If they will, the signs are auspicious for relationship and romance.  If they do not, reconsider this romance, or keep looking for better bonesets.

Intertwining boneset roots may be transformed into an amulet to draw and preserce the love indicated by the previous spell.

1. Wrap them toward you in a piece of red cloth.
2. tie securely with red thread or ribbon.
3. Wear as a charm or hide in a safe place.

Is Love True?  A simple spell helps you find out.

1. Make seven knots in a tread.
2. Set it on fire.
3. If the flame passes several knots, your love is true and stron, the more knots passed, the stronger.

Luck Written Talisman Ojala

Ojala is a Spanish corruption of Inshallah, Arabic for Allah wills it.  The term has emerged in South America as a power amulet.

On a small piece of paper, write, while focusing on your desire

Talisman of love, Chinese Coins

Traditional Chinese coins have square holes in the center.  They are customarily strung together with red thread for good luck and protection.  Hair should be substituted for love spells.

1. Obtain several hairs from the head of your beloved.
2. Braid them together.
3. String two coins together with this hair.  If the hair is long enough, wrap the coins in the hair, too.
4. Wrap this charm in red silk or sew it onto the red silk.
