Speed Camera, Speed Trap & Red Light Camera for Navman S - series

Notes:

•  It is recommended to back up all existing GPS data to your hard drive prior to new software installation.
• You will need WinZip (www.winzip.com) or WinRar or any other software to decompress poi database. If you do not have any you can download free to use 40 day trail.

Navman S50 (Important: Service Pack 1 (SP1) is required
Navman S70 (Important: Service Pack 1 (SP1) is required
Navman S80 (Important: Service Pack 1 (SP1) is required
Navman S90i (Important: Service Pack 1 (SP1) is required

1. Create a folder called “My Navman POI” on your desktop
   
   
2. Extract (unzip the overlay with a suitable program - we recommend WINZIP or WINRAR) the entire contents of “New-Navman-POIs.rar” to a target folder of your choice in your computer.
   In our example, we selected the folder “My Navman POI”
   
   
3. Now the folder "My Navman POI" contains all unzipped files types in *.bmp and *.csv format (every file type stands for one speed camera category):
   
   
4. Switch on your Navman device and connect it to the PC over the USB cable.
   
   
5. Start the software Navman NavDesk 2008 and select Custom POIs.
   
   
6. Click Browse and choose a *.csv file from the folder "My Navman POI". At first we choose Speedcams.csv.
   
   
   
   
   
   
7. Please name the new POI category Speedcams. Enable the Visual alert and choose a distance. With Browse you are able to add a icon file for the new POI category.
   
   
   
   
   
   
8. Enable also Audio alert and click to Add to refer the sound file alert.wav in the folder "My Navman POI".
   
   
   
   
   
   
9. Finally click Add to device to transfer the speed camera category to the Navman device.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
10. Please repeat the steps 6 till 9 for each speed camera file.
    
    
    

Navman iCN620 and Navman iCN630 with SmartST™ V2 and Navman S30 and are not supported.

There is currently a limit of 12.000 custom POI's on the Navman S series.
