This is to help people that are newer to car audio. When you are looking for speaker wire for your subs do not be fooled by companies trying to sell you some cheap but enormus rated wiring. Generally if it looks too good to be true it is. For example, as I'm looking right now for 12 guage wire, I can see one item that claims 100' of 12 guage wire plus free items! for about $30 total. Where as if you see Rockford Fosgate (it's what I use but there are other good brands as well) 12 AWG (American Wire Guage standard) you can get it for about $20 total but for only 15'. So if you compare 100' to 15' for $10 less there is somethin up. Let me get this straight wire is wire. It's all copper and does not matter if it's "oxygen free!" or not. What does matter is the strand count. I'm taking a guess that this company is using less strands and more insulation to fool you either that or they like to lose money. And my guess is that they don't want their pockets to bleed. So beware when you are looking for wiring, so you don't get fooled because the speaker wire is VERY important when it comes to your system. It's not best to skimp out here.
