Soy wax is a softer wax than parafin wax. Because of this the soy wax burns longer without all the soot left on your jars. Also the softer soy wax allows for the scented wax dipped bears. Tips for buying your bears are: first these are not to be burned. Second make sure you choose a scent you can live with for months. Most bears when used properly will last for months. Never place your bear in areas of high heat, or near a heat source. Never place your bear directly on furniture. The wax will stain your furniture. Using a glass plate, plexiglass, or even a piece of wax paper underneath will keep them from staining your furniture. As your bear sits it collects dust and dirt which can rob you of your scent. Take a hair dryer, turn on the low setting. rotate the dryer over the bear without touching it for a minute (for larger bears 2 minutes). Also if you have a holiday theme bear keep the plastic it came in and seal it tight until the next holiday. If sealed properly it should last until the next holiday season. Do not let infants handle these, as babies tend to chew on everything. It will not poison your baby but could cause indigestion problems.

Almost any plush animal can be dipped into the wax. Make sure that you have the excess wax out before you pose it to dry. They tend to dry quickly.
