Sony DVDirect model 10 and 20: Old tapes? FORGET IT!!!

A great idea turned NIGHTMARE. Fabulous units *EXCEPT* if you plan to transfer old VHS and/or Hi/8mm tapes directly to DVD. If there is a GLITCH or BREAKUP *ANYWHERE* on your master tape, the Sony will immediately PAUSE there and wait for the user to reset the DVD RECORDING while your tape continues playing merrily along... You will quickly learn to HATE this and you'll use DIRTY WORDS you'll be proud you remembered.

In simple terms, you have to PHYSICALLY SIT THERE OVERSEEING EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF THE TRANSFER. I have a ton of great Sony equipment. These AIN'T IT!
