   I decided to write a brief "guide" if you will, about some facts about buying fragrances here on ebay.  I am doing this because well, there are alot of fakes perfumes here on ebay, and also alot of good, honest, reputable sellers, such as myself, and I thought I would try to shed a bit of light on the subject of buying perfumes and fragrances here on ebay.

  First of all, when I started 2 years ago, of course I did'nt have much feedback for selling perfume, and the process of packing and shipping the bottles went thru alot of modifications to end up where I am now. Because I had little feedback in perfumes, people would often accuse me of selling them a fake. It seems now that my feedback is much higher the issue rarely comes up.  But people have had their reasons for thinking them false, everything from, not smelling quite right, or, and I love this, "it did'nt smell like the paper sample in the magaizine" to leaking. Let me just say that I spent literaly thousands of hours researching where to buy my products, spent 5 times as much purchasing in bulk to get the products I sell at the right price and have been on ebay long enough to know that if you value your business and account here, you should NEVER entertain the idea of selling ANYTHING counterfiet..  But still as a buyer I can understand concerns, so I am hoping to to shed some light on a subject that i'm sure many customers are interested in having answers to.

#1.  A customer from brazil said to me that she was sure her product was fake because it had leaked a bit in shipping. When I explained to her that if a liquid flies and is under pressure, there is the possibility that it will leak. Have you ever had a bottle of lotion or perfume leak in your bag after a plane ride? Her answer to that was, well how do they get to the department stores in the first place. Most fragrances that are shipped in huge containers go by boat. I too could ship ground or internationaly by boat, but no one seems to want to wait that long for their items.. In the end, I always end up refunding because I don't think people should have to pay for a faulty product.  Yes I lose money but it makes me sleep better at night, and that is priceless!!

#2. Another one that I get is that the fragrance does'nt smell quite right.  Heat and sunlight can alter a fragrance greatly and since most fragrances come sealed, a seller cannot be certain that it is not faulty untill the customer opens it.  You will KNOW if a fragrance is a fake. I have been fooled in the past before I started selling myself. Angel is one that is most commonly reported and I myself bought one  few years back that smelled NOTHING like the original. 

#3.This is regarding shipping. Please do not blame a seller for a delay in the postal service. International ships are the worst because of customs. If you want to be certain tht your item is going to arrive, pay for express. It provides TRACKING and INSURANCE!  Also, please wait at least 2 weeks before panicing about your item.. Most international items do arrive in 5 to 10 days.
