So you want to learn to play the guitar. Where do you start? Well, you've got some options:
- You could purchase a cheap beginner instrument and a book and go the self teaching route. PROS: innexpensive and you could learn at your own pace. CONS: The guitar will be cheap (quality wise, and hard to play) and you may not stick with it or really know what you're doing.
- You could purchase a guitar and then sign up for lessons. PROS: relatively inexpensive though the lessons will add up and you'll have some human interaction. CONS: the quality of the guitar will still depend on what you are able to spend and you have the hassle of going to a lesson every week.
- You can purchase a Fretlight guitar and have fun while learning. PROS: Great instrument, amazing learning system, 30 interactive software lessons free to start. CONS: None. This is the best way to learn to play the guitar, hands down.
Learning to play is not easy, don't get us wrong. But every other method of learning requires that you go back and forth from book to guitar, teacher to guitar, chart to guitar and information is lost in that back and froth routine. The Fretlight guitar changes all that. Lights in the neck under the fretboard light up to show where to put your fingers for chords, scales, songs, riffs and so much more. Our full compliment of software drives the lights and allows to learn instantly. Sure you'll have to work on strumming and finger position and music theory and the rest of it, but the Fretlight Interactive learning system gives you the best chance to learn effectively and efficiently - and a have a blast at the same time.
