Hey, eBay blogging is alot of fun and a great time spender. Have you always wanted to start but never knew what to blog about or how people would react? I'm going to give you three starting tips and hopefully this guide will show you the way. Let's Get Started!!!
Well, as you can see the eBay blogs are always busy. In fact posts are never up on the eBay blogs homepage for more than ten minutes. Sometimes it can be so busy you get less than one! This leads me to one of my main points:
1. Pick an Assigned Time To Blog
If you like a fast past type of typing choose the rush hour, if you want you're post up a little longer, and actually want some attention to your post you might want to go later at night when it's less busy. Plus, having a set time assures that you'll get to make and keep friends with the people you blog with. Which brings me to my next tip:
2. Be Friendly And Try To Connect To People
The eBay blog community is a safe, peaceful place and alot of the time everything goes well. However, once in a while disputes and arguments do get started. I recomend not starting any disputes and staying out of ones you don't have anything to do with. Plus don't criticize people or bring negative attention to yourself. I'm not saying you can't disagree with someone, I do all the time. Just keep the disputes friendly and tell your true opinion. This now connects me to my third and final point:
3. Be Unique And Be Yourself
Sometimes I notice alot of people talking like a computer or being cheesy saying "lol" at something that has no comedy in it. This makes the blogging less fun and more predictable. If you're yourself and tell what you really think in your own style of writing. Don't be a drone.
ADDITIONAL TIPS
*There are many blogs out there that never get many hits. The reasons vary but often the reason is the people type to much. If you type a seven paragraph post, interesting or not, chances are I'm not going to take the time to read it all. When posting make it short, sweet, and to the point.
*Watch out for spammers. There are some "bloggers" that just promote thier own or other websites. Not only is this against eBay policy it's just annoying. If you actually find a site that you think people will have a couple minutes of fun it's okay to post about it. However, don't constantly advertise for websites to get hits and take people off eBay. No one likes spammers, especially the eBay officials.
*Don't post a picture of anything that could be offensive (pornography, hate jokes, animal cruelty). No one likes this kind of stuff and it could get you kicked off eBay. Please keep eBay a clean community.
Final Note:
I hope this guides been helpful and that it's attracted a few more people to eBay blogs. It is quite the fun thing and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Thanks for Reading And Hope I Helped,
Justin
