Snap on Tools and Snap on Tool Box
Snap-on Tools is a time-honored company that has been making quality professional and consumer tools for a variety of uses since 1920. Joseph Johnson and William Seidemann founded the company and named it the Snap-on Wrench Company. The premise behind the business was to create tools that were interchangeable and easy to use.
For nearly 100 years, Snap-on has been doing exactly that and much more. This $2.4 billion dollar company started with just five interchangeable wrench handles, and today sells almost 14,000 products and parts made for home or commercial use. Snap-on tools are industry favorites with car repair people, railroad workers, construction contractors, and many other hands-on professionals.
When the company began, the two founders went door-to-door to businesses that they felt could use this innovative tool system. They demonstrated the benefits of the tools and sold them on the spot. This philosophy lasted for decades, as Snap-on became known for their personal sales approach. The auto racing industry, in particular uses Snap-on tools in great number, and relies on their products to keep the fastest cars tuned to perfection.
Snap-on continues to lead the way in tool innovation and design. The company also offers workstations and tool storage units that are preferred by craftsman globally. Their tool boxes are created with optimal storage space in mind, and range in size from hand-held to well over six feet tall with wheels and dozens of compartments.
