Hello eBayan !
I have been an eBay member for 5 years and 10 months (including another user name which is still active). I will get to slot cars in a minute. I have bought many items for the household and for my business, as well as sold many items from house and business. BUT, I love the search for my passions! My special interests! It includes Antique Door Hardware, Bobbleheads and Slot Cars. I recently read a guide posted by an Oh feed (zero feedbacker) where they stated to be careful of misspellings. Hey, those are the 1's I have made out on the best! Love your hobby? Find that Funko Evel Knievel bobblehead under Funco or Evil. Hope that the listing is in an obscure category, and buy it for nothing since no one else can find it. eBay to which I always come back has always done me right. I have found treasures on the web, but really, I have done so much better just sticking with eBay. Let's just learn 3 things here. Much easier than 10 or 20. OK HERE ARE THE POINTERS : 1.) Look at the mega sellers on eBay, they always give you tidbits of collecting info. Find an item to which the seller is not accustomed. If they sell Barbie Dolls and have a listing for a Vaseline Glass Door Knob, they might not know it's true value. Again spell Vasaline, Vaseleen, Vazaline . . . 2.) Completed Listings. Here you find the item, the listing time period, the bidders. Look up the bidders feedback and then were they selling or buying? Where was the item listed? (If a N.W. Coast native carved mask, was it listed from a guy in Mississippi?) I bought a Ninco Porsche 356A slot car Mille Miglia Rallye from a German (eBay.de) SELLER because when I want to sell it, I have the most collectible Ninco Porsche with a shipping box and address from Germany! (How many ways will you spell collectable? I love searching for "rare" and Ltd. and L.E. and "kind" (( 1 of a kind)) and autographed). I bought an Evel Knievel autographed bobblehead for $3.70 from a seller who listed it in the toy category, it was signed by Evel and had a pic of him signing it, AND he accidentally smuged his thumb print in the ink. So, I had the bobble head the pic of the signing, Evel's fingerprint and the autograph for $3.70. I received the item and put it on eBay for a dollar (always start your auctions for a dollar, let the item demand the value) and sold it for $170.00 on the nodder category on eBay. I bought a frisbee from a garage sale for a quarter, it had a cellophane center and was well used ( no dog teeth ) and sold it on eBay for $30 something to a user with the name consisting of Diskman . . . He needed it to complete his collection. 3.) SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH what is it that stirs you? Then, by darn have or sell the best one. I JUST bought a Jack Brabham F-1 Cooper Autographed Slot Car ( 3 time Formula 1 Champion, F-1 these guys know how to drive, period!) I had to have it. Why? Because Sir Jack signed it. This seller knew how to market his product, he had a camera at the signing. I believe a picture, I'll buy that! Hey, " I'll buy that" Search, my friend, in your special space where you find content, be the King of the World. Please S E A R C H
