What woman wouldn't want to know what does and does not work in the skin care world? We would all love to save hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars in the process. I currently manage a Cosmetics Department in a major retail store. Over the years I have openly experimented with all the cosmetic lines trying to determine which products produce the best results. Yes, I admit rushing to the news stands each month to purchase magazines raving about the hottest products on the market. I would buy these items and more often be disappointed with the outcome. I am forty plus years of age and live in the dry climate of Colorado. I tend to have normal to sensitive skin and often experience break outs when using highly fragrant products.
My number one recommendation for overall skin care is Clarins. The cleansers, toners, serums, moisturizers, and body products are truly amazing. In any one category you cannot go wrong. Several times I have had mature customers ask me what I use on my skin, and I proudly refer them to the Clarin's Counter. The customers did, coincidentally, stop asking when I temporarily tried another line. My Clarins's gal says she calls her return customers Prodigal Children because they always come back. Clarins does provide a service called Skin Care Center. This is a planned appointment to receive a facial treatment and expert advise from a Clarins trained instructor. There is no charge for this experience, but I warn you it is addicting. All products have a little higher price point but is a great value because it works!
Eye care is my biggest concern. I have tried and cried. Let's face it, eye cream is expensive. That tiny little jar or tube somehow convinces me I will look younger and more radiant after several weeks of usage. My winning review goes to Shiseido's Future Solution. This cream has an immediate result. It retails for $120 and is worth every half ounce. I purchased a jar 10 months ago and one forth of the product still remains. Nothing compares.
One last miracle product for the eye is Hylexin. I do struggle with dark circles. This product amazingly breaks up the blood cells under the eye and diminishes the darkness. I have also used it on a spider vein on my leg and watched the vein disappear. This retails for $95.00 and, again, worth it.
Lastly, my 3 favorite body products are the following. Origin's Let it Show is a body skin enhancer. It tones and slightly tans the skin resulting in a sexy glow. It has a wonderful citrus fragrance. Retail price is very reasonable.
Biotherm's Anti-drying Body Milk is my favorite all over body lotion. It too has a light citrus fragrance but overall provides the perfect moisture to my skin. Not too heavy, not too light.
For the feet, Benefit's Sandal Scandal is hands down the best. Apply this at night, wear the included foot booties, and you'll wake up the next morning with soft, luxurious feet. Perfect for the in between pedicures.
These are life time products for me. I hope this helps by saving you time and money. Meanwhile, you will look and feel great.
