Emails are starting to fly about this Possible Sizzlers Car Recall that has been posted on ebay when listings are put up. We have noticed here at the Sizzlers Shop that over the last few months, there has been some sort of a recall every time we see other listings, or we list Sizzlers products. Could it be that the New Mattel Sizzlers are being recalled due to NICAD use again?
Are the consumers giving these to their kids?!?!?!
Consider a safety precaution and change those NICADS.
Mattel Should have spent the extra money on NIMH and then they wouldnt have HAZMAT issues. Could it be as a result of the complaints that Ebay has had from consumers about the original 1969 models? Who knows. Anyone with any information is asked to contact us so we can forward the information to everyone in the hobby.
We can provide buyers with NEW NIMH BATTERIES, just throw out the old hazardous ones.
Its always been one of my most intriguing thoughts. Why for the last 20 years, that some collectors are more prone to buying unopened leaky original Sizzlers cars rather than buying properly restored ones. Its no secret that Sizzlers that are unrestored pose a health hazard and all buyers should consider that when bidding. We at the Sizzlers Shop are equiped to work with this kind of hazardous materials. We have proper methods of disposal and special neutralizing solutions for cleaning up these problems. Buyers should reconsider what they are getting into especially those who are beginners in this hobby. We always have fully restored Sizzlers Products in our Ebay Store.
