I wrote this guide to help comfort those parents and families who are going through  tough times. This guide is to help all of you in shopping for your love one who has been discharged from the Hospital after an open- heart operation or any other major operations.  I understand how frustrating it can be trying to find nice fitting clothes for your infant or toddler.   It becomes a greater challenge when your infant or toddler has some tender areas on their body and some restrictions in  their movements.

  1. I found early on that Gerber's white cotton onesie with side snap or velcro closures comes in handy.  Use two sizes bigger than what your child normally wears  that way you do not have to put on any bottoms other than the diaper. ROSS sells them for less than five dollars when they have them in stock.
  2. BABY GAP has the softest cotton onesie and once in a great awhile, they have the ones without any design on the front of the shirt or buttion closure on the front. If you have a Gap outlet near your home, it is easier to find simple onesies for less than three dollars in the celarance bins.
  3. If your infant or toddler has overall small body frame, CARTER'S clothes are cut smaller than other clothing company and Wal Mart barand clothes shrink a lot after the first wash. I found that Carter's put out a lot of two piece outfit with front snap closure shirts. You can find  Carter's items for less than five or ten dollars at Ross when they have them in stock. The new shipment of  items come in  the Ross stores every Thursdays and  the prices are reduced every Mondays. I usually chek around Fridays to see if  I can pick up stuff at great clearence prices at Ross.
  4. If your infant or toddler has long skinny legs, OSH KOSH cuts their pants with longer inseam than other clothing company.
  5. GYMBOREE plays a grat part in this too.  They have the most awesone leggings... cotton and velour with eye- catching,  bright colors or cute patterns. I pick up leggings at less than five dollars a pair. I think after Thanksgiving sale and after Easter sale are the great time to pick up leggings and stock up.
  6. This is the most important part of clothes shopping... try to find softest 100% cotton clothes at cheapest price. When my daughter out grew  the recovery  process,  I  quickly threw out the clothes. I did not want anything reminding me of our hard times.
