Simple Home Remedies for "WET DOG" ODOR & DOGGY BREATH
Pls. keep note that these remedies are not by any means medical grade or professional groomer grade solutions. They are just "do it yourself" low cost and simple home remedies that were passed on to me that I thought were basically cheap and easy!
Our family has a loving dog that we adopted from a local animal shelter several years ago. Like many pet owners, there are minor issues with our dogs that we can use home remedies for. Another pet adopter I met long ago gave me two sure and easy tips that I'd love to share with you for the case of WET DOG ODOR and the dreaded DOGGY BREATH!
WET DOG ODOR
Hate the smell of your pooch when he/she comes in from getting wet through the sprinklers or rain? Or maybe your pet is like mine, and enjoys rolling around in the yard after every bath and smelling like the unique unpleasant odor of WET DOG. A simple home remedy for that is DRYER SHEETS! Just rub the sheet across the body of your pooch against the direction of their hair. This technique would especially help aid the softener particles to embed in dogs with medium to long hair. I've tried it myself, and it truely does work without that "Masking Odor on top of Odor" effect. If your pooch still smells awful, it's time for your four-legged buddy to have a bath. Ebay offers lots of pet grooming care at cheap prices! : )
DOGGY BREATH
Our dog loves giving big wet smooches, but as sweet as they are - we still dread DOGGY BREATH. Just like humans, dogs do need extra care when it comes to their teeth. Bacteria grows on all teeth causing these odors - humans and animals alike. We have the beneficial act of brushing our teeth. Obviously, our pooches need our TLC to care enough to help them do that with their teeth as well. But a simple solution to minor Dog breath is PARSLEY. Just mince up a small 3 finger bunch (teaspoon) and mix it with their meal once a day. This tip along with the occasional dry bone doggy chew & brushing is a sure fire step to cleaner pet teeth. Severe sharp odor is not normal and recommends a vet visit.
Just apply these cheap and simple home remedies to your family pet and hopefully these minor nose cinchers are a thing of the past!
