Sim City 3000 - Guide to Sim City 3000!
The SimCity 3000 Unlimited game, developed by Maxis and published by EA Games, continues to push the envelope in terms of urban planning simulation. SC3K comes on the heels of the very successful release of SimCity 2000.While both games offer players the opportunity to construct cities from scratch, manage and book-keep amazing amounts of information using cool graphical interfaces, and participate in innovative design challenges, SC3K offers a number of new wrinkles.
For one, using the Unlimited Expansion Pack, SimCity 3000 players can consult with planners (voiced by real life individuals) as they are constructing, building, and putting in new schools. You can contact Gus Oddman for utilities info, Karen Frawl for input on environmental matters, and Mortimer Green for discussion of things financial.
SimCity 3000 also allows players to manage city waste. In the earlier versions of SimCity, waste was never an issue--it would just magically disappear. In SC3K, if you build a municipality with a population over a 1000 people, you must engineer a way to get rid of the garbage that they produce. Similarly, you need to worry about the education of your virtual children--paying attention to capacity is critical for success, particularly at the higher levels.
Finally, you can keep track of land value and utilize a more colorful and detailed game pallet. The game is rated E for everyone by the ESRB rating board, and it can be played on numerous platforms, including Apple Mac.
