The Shurlok Operates on a patented system of two groups of combinations.

One Combination opens the shackle.

Default Version 1. (--, F, A, S,) Version 2. (P, R, I, S,)

The second combination opens the sliding Key storage door

  Version 1. (N, R, E, --)  Version 2. (O, C, N, --)

To change the factory default settings and to set your own combination follow the instructions below:

1. Set dials on Shackle opening default combination and open the shackle.
2. USE A DIME OR PAPERCLIP ONLY to turn the changescrew 90 degrees (1/4 turn) Clock-wise the the vertical position NEVER FORCE THE CHANGE SCREW !!!!!!!!!!!
• Note: If it is difficult to turn, make sure the letters are lined up and that you have the correct combination.
3. Set the combination to the desired shackle combination. (See chart belows and explanation below for determining the shackle combination)
4. Return the changer screw to the original (Horizontal) position by turning counter-clockwise 90 degrees (1/4 turn).
5. The key compartment door combination is automatically set when the new shackle combination is set.

Instructions for using the chart(s):

1. Determine Which version of the Shurlok alpha you are using by checking the factory combination defaults (as outlined above)
2. Circle the Letters in each row that you wish to use for the sliding door combo.
3. Count up each column 3 letters from the letter you circled and put an x on the 3rd letter. The columns wrap around veritcally so as soon as you hit the bottom letter you should continue counting starting at the top of the column.
• Example #1  If I circled C, H, P, J Then I would put an x through the letters B, I, T, I
• Example #2  If I circled A, I, A, S, then I would put an x through D, H, E,--,
• Example #3 If I circled P, I , E, S,  Then I would put an x through L, H, E,--,
4. THE LETTERS YOU PUT AN X THROUGH ARE THE COMBINATION TO OPEN THE SHACKLE
5. THE LETTERS YOU CIRCLED ARE THE COMBINATION TO OPEN THE SLIDING DOOR.

NEVER USE ANYTHING OTHER THAN A PAPERCLIP OR COIN TO TURN THE CHANGE SCREW OR YOU MAY DAMAGE THE UNIT AND VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
