Are you considering buying a Webkinz "guide" on Ebay? What I mean by "guide" is the electronic compilation of research by another user, who then puts this research together in an electronic book to sell to others. Common Webkinz guides on Ebay are for recipes, the Charm Forest, and/or Curio Shop/Gem Hunt.

It is totally up to you on whether or not you should purchase one of these guides or not. HOWEVER, it does not take very much time or effort to get most or all of the information in these "guides" by doing a search for "webkinz", "webkinz tips", "webkinz info", "webkinz recipes", etc.

There are several websites devoted to sharing information about Webkinz. Some of these will have good information, some will not, but a good search will turn up a couple of good sites with VERY reliable "Insider" information.

On these Webkinz "Insider" websites, the members are very eager to share tips and tricks, and even have archives of all known recipes, exclusive, rare items, etc. They can even tell you the times rare items will be for sale in the curio shop up to 2 days in advance! One of these websites I know for sure has a type of gift exchange system that allows users to exchange/trade gifts on Webkinz World and uses a rating system much like Ebay's feedback rating to ensure that you are trading with a trusted user!

(For those who aren't familar with Webkinz World, you can send a gift of almost any object, excluding Kinzcash, to any other user in Webkinz World. WW's policy is that a gift, once sent, is property of the receiver, and no gift should be expected in return. In otherwords, if you sent something and was told they would send something in return but don't, you have no recourse in WW and will not get your item back either.)

So in conclusion, you should buy a guide on Ebay ONLY if you have the money to waste but NO time to waste. Beware that you may be disappointed in the information you get, and it may not be the "secret" info you were looking for. These guides are certainly helpful. I have bought one myself. But everything in the guide I bought was found on one of the websites I mentioned earlier...... for FREE.
