Car paint is equal to the skin of your car. It requires regular nourishment. It is always attractive to see a glowing car on the road. It speaks volumes about the attitude of the car’s owner. Below are some helpful tips to bring the exterior of your car to life:

 Apply wax only after washing your car. Waxing on a dusty car actually seals the dust to the car. Be careful not to wash, polish or wax your car under the sun. It could stain your car.

 Wash your car with water and wipe it with a wet cloth. Be careful not to wipe the dust off your car with a dry cloth. Don’t use detergents or hard soaps as they wipe out the polish off your car.

 Hard water leaves a layer of film on the car surface. Wash your car with soft water if possible. Soft water does not contain minerals unlike hard water.

 Cotton (or any natural fabric) car covers are always the best. Plastic or vinyl car covers prove to be unhealthy for your car as they generally breed fungus.

 Cars with acrylic coating do not need polishing. It makes the coating look dull and pale.

 Use only non-abrasive polishes. Abrasive cleaners can erode your car paint. Avoid them.

 Choose light colors for your car as dark colors are more prone to oxidization. Light colors remain fresh and lustrous for many years.

 Don’t expose car metal for too long. Cover any exposed metal on your car with an appropriate paint as soon as possible. Metal does rusts and it is very expensive to replace.
