I recently purchased a Krazr K1 unlocked GSM cell phone from Ebay. I found out the hard way this information and want the consumers to be educated since most sellers will not share this with you. Beware of Unlocked phones which are usually not from within the US. My phone turned out it was made in China and when I went to my provider to have it set up they could not get my email and internet set up. I called Motorola and they ran the # from my phone and said it was made in Hong Kong and that the internet and email settings are preset for the country of origin. Motorola went on to tell me that they cannot service my phone here in the US and also that their techs cannot change the settings so that I can use email and internet in the US either. I was very disappointed since I purchased the phone for those features. Please make sure you check with your seller and ask if the unlocked phone is a US made phone so that these features will work when you go to the provider that your phone is compatible with. This way you can get the most for your money and have your warranty.
