Buying a new camcorder is more than finding the item based upon price.
That is important but if your decision leads to a hard to use or proprietary system would that end up as a prudent decision.
Face it we all shop Ebay for 2 reasons I have found.
1.) Frugality (Items at a lower cost)
2.) Convenience (who wants to fight the mall crowd or deal with pushy sales people?
So what do you want in your new camcorder?
From my experience selling and dealing with many major manufacturers camcorders here are a few things to look out for.
a.) Non-Proprietary recording format.
b.) software features - yes more than recording features that most people never use the software that reocrds the video to DVD and allows editing on your PC is probably more important.
c.) Ease of use - Yes if it is too hard or complex to utilize daily we put it away and forget about it so get one you will love to use from day one without getting a masters in cinimatography or electrical engineering.
So which ones do I recommend.
JVC has probably the easies PC software on the planet. True one click record to DVD makes my life on video much simpler to archive and the editing software is just as user intuitive.
Then there is the fact the format to DVD is just that and not proprietary like some other major name brands.
What does this do for you?
Well you can easily edit your video and transfer to DVD using your PC and then play it in just about any DVD player without having to have a player of the same brand is the Camcorder.
Overal just purchase what your comfortable with and watch out for the latest bells and whistles. Have the sales people demo how to use the features and if they cannot well stear clear. (Then come back to Ebay and make your purchase. LOL)
Hope you find this helpfull and we look forwards to seeing you on Ebay.
