How do you find deals on what you want?

If you plan on shopping for a laptop, skip to the next paragraph.

Research, research, research... I can not stress how important it is to know ALL of the facts. You need to know which thing is better and why. Do you want a 1 GB iPod nano or a 80 GB iPod? Which has the most features? Which one costs less? Which one has higher battery life? You need to know all of these things about any basic item that you ever plan to purchase (I prefer the iPod for those who like movies over music). Just because one user is selling a 1 GB iPod nano for $350 (my opinion, rip off) and another user wants $250 for a 4 GB iPod nano doesn't mean the 1 GB is more. The 4 GB can hold 4 times as many songs because GB is a measurement of storage space. Having a higher number would be more. Do the research and you can save!

So, you want a laptop from Sony? Smart choice. Before anything, I reccomend (over everything else) that what ever items you consider have a warranty. At least 3 years. Down the road of life, a lot can happen to to a laptop. Secondly, ram, aka memory. The more you have, the more you can do. I reccomend 2 GB of ram, but 1 GB will do. Lastly, get a good processor. Get one with a good Intel processor with atleast 2.5 GHz speed. If you plan to do anything with your computer, you may also want to get a good ATI Radeon graphics card - atleast a model number above 6000  (Remember X is 10).
