Hello, as with most Ebay purchases and sales there is shipping involved. I am a fairly experienced Ebayer and would like to add a thought on this matter.
As a seller I would highly recommend that you include some form of tracking with your shipment. If you use a service such as DHL, Fedex or UPS they often include tracking automatically. If you use the US Postal Service (my personal favorite) there are some differences.
Depending upon the method of shipping with the USPS you may have tracking included or not. If you use Priority Mail and complete the shipping label online you are given tracking automatically. If you take your item to the Post Office you will have to pay extra for this. Shipping Parcel Post is the most confusing, you are not provided with tracking but can pay to have Delivery Confirmation. This will provide you with a number and after the expected 7-10 business days for delivery you can check the status of your shipment. Also with Parcel Post if the item is undeliverable, it may be returned to the sender along with a charge.
If you are new to Ebay I would recommend looking into all of the shipping methods available to you and make a decision on a shipper that best suits your needs. On a final note it will definitely be to your advantage to have a means of tracking your shipment no matter how big or small it may be. Also insurance is a must for most sales. These two items along with careful packaging provide the purchaser and seller with the means for a great transaction. Dont forget to leave feedback for each other also!
