I just thought I would add my two cents for what I've noticed on Ebay Sellers shipping charges and how it affects me and my attitude for better sales and safety.I buy a lot of Harley parts on Ebay and I believe that shipping "Not Specified" means Item Not Sold.I have made it a habit of blowing right past shipping "Not Specified" items. Unless it is something I need badly. I have learned the hard way to always request shipping charges ahead of time and before I bid.Recently a 2 lb. set of screw drivers cost me almost $24.00 shipping. If I don't recieve a reply I don't bid on that item. It can save you a Surprise Shipping Charge. I think we all know pretty well when we are getting ripped on shipping. Also read the complete ad for extra handling charges and be aware of the real cost of that super deal.
"Calculate" means your guess is as good as mine. See, All that "Calculate" means is whatever info the seller punched in to UPS or the Post Office may equal outrageous shipping charges or if he's honest quite possibly fair charges. You won't know unless you check first.By all means CHECK FIRST, But if you need that item by all means press the Calculate button with your zip code.Usually a good idea to do this before you get excited and press "BID NOW".
People want to know shipping charges up front and instantly before they push that "BID NOW "button. If you want to sell your item, Flat Rate Shipping stated right in your ad is the only way to go. So don't be afraid to request shipping charges before you bid and if your selling state your shipping charges up front. Last week I sold 9 out of 10 items I had listed. It's your money and safety so keep a little more in your pocket. Thanks Gerry
