I was told this by a former employee of the canadian post office and have had no problems using this method. Remove the coins from the roll and tape them, using the clear packing tape, to a stiff piece of thin card board, than place them in a bubble wrap envelope. when packed flat this way they do no go thru the p.o. scanner, thus saving time and extra custom charges. Works for me..
