Hello Everyone:
I am writing this in regards to my own experiences on ebay recently.
Ebay supposedly has rules for shipping fee's and such, but the bad thing is the rule is not thoroughly enforced, there is still a lot of sellers getting away with outrageous fee's.
I am a seller as well as a buyer on ebay, and I have seen a lot of good and bad on ebay between purchases and sales.
This brings up the comment on shipping.
Some sellers offer Flat Rate Shipping, in some cases the sellers are great, the price is reasonable and their service is great.
But there is some sellers who take advantage of the flat rate shipping and literally stick it to the buyer.
The bad part about all of this, ebay really won't do a lot about it, and pay pal really stinks on their options for problems with sellers.
Pay pal should have an option where you can receive a partial refund if the shipping was outrageous or if the item was slightly damaged and you don't wish to return it.
The big problem with all of this, it is going to get worse when ebay goes foward with the paperless crap.
My opinion is this, if the flat rate shipping fee seems high, contact ebay and let them know the seller is circumventing fee's from ebay.
you also have to decide if the item you are bidding on is worth it in the long run.
there is good sellers out there, then there's bad ones.
look at the seller's feedback before you bid also.
my bad experience was with seller cmackirby2005 , the seller overcharged me by $19 , when I asked about it, the seller refused to help.
I mentioned it to ebay, but nothing has been done as of yet.
Take care and good luck.
