If you are like some of Dish Networks customers you get some of your receivers or remotes from other sources other than the corporation...when you dont have the instructions to set up your remote, here I am to give some help.
First of all if you must have a multi pourpose Dish Network remote ie...4 in one remote.
1. Turn on the tv you wish to setup.
2. Press and hold the button on top of the remote that has the tv printed on it. (not including the aux button we will cover it later)
3.  When all the lights light up release it
4. The button you chose will start blinking
5. Press the large power button, the tv button will stay lit
6. Point at the tv you are setting up and start pressing the channel up button
*Note when your tv turns off, the remote has found the code...you may want to press the channel down button once or twice slowly till it comes back on...(this must be done slowly)
7. As soon as it turns ON stop and press the pound (#) button the tv button will blink three times
There you are all set, remember this is only to set your tv to your remote of Dish Network only.

******For the aux button on a SECOND TV you must follow these directions**********
see Line #1
Then Press the aux button till all the lights lite up ...then release it
see Line #4
Then press the # 2 button... the aux button will stay lit
Then press the asterik button (*)
Then follow the #5 thru the # 7 steps till you are finnished.
