Formatting of the drive
You must use FAT32 to obtain the best reliability from your player. Windows has a limitationof 32Gbyte partitions so you will need to use a 3rd party utility. For drives under 500 Gbyte, Swissknife is about the best and is freely available for download. Just search in Google will bring it up.
For drives over 500 Gbyte, use Window to partition the drive but do not format the partitions. Use FAT32Format.exe to do this from a DOS command window. Keep your partitions below 500Gbyte, As a general rule, I always split the drive into 2 even partitions.
Connection to your display
As these players are advertised as HDMI players, best results are obtained using a HDMI cable and running the player at 1080i resolution.
