If you sell something worth more than $250 you must add signature required to the package/s when mailing them off. If you don't, you are not covered buy seller protection. Some dishonest ebayers will buy something from users especially new ones, pay with paypal and then claim they never got it. These people are out there. They will find a new user who is lets say selling a $500 cell phone. They're banking on you won't send it needing a signature. They will file a dispute with paypal and they will win! As a papypal policy , all items with value or combined values of $250 or more require signatures. A simple confirmation or insured mail confirmation is no good. These people, when they do get the items and see you did use signature will ask for a refund if you provide it and make up a story as to why they need to return it. Usually, you'll here my husband is out of work or kids are in hospital. They will keep the item and not send it back if you dont put signature on it. Paypal will refund them. They will do this maybe 3 times and then have the bank issue another debit card and they will close out the other and open a new ebay user name. Remember, if you have a bank account you can have 100 accounts if you wanted to. So be careful. When sending out item or items w combined value of $250 or more ALWAYS add signature confirmation. Also by adding a disclaimer reading returned item require a 10% or 15% or 20% restocking fee will deter these fraudsters from trying this at all!
