As most of you have learned when it comes to selling on eBay it's best to pick one thing to sell and stick to it.Whether it's clothes, antiques, books etc. you will learn from your sales what is hot and what is not.I have been selling vhs and dvds on ebay for several years. What I have learned is not all movies are created equal.Just because you just purchased a vhs or dvd for $20 doesn't mean you can turn around and sell it for the same amount on eBAY.You want to search for RARE tapes and dvds. These will bring in bidders willing to pay top dollar for a movie that is OOP (out of print) and hard to find.I will scour yard sales, pawn shops and second hand stores for these gems. One way to find out which movies to look for is to type in "Rare Vhs" in the eBAY search. If they are at $9.99 and up with several bidders, I write them down and carry the list with me.If I find a store with hundreds of used titles then I can refer to my list.By doing this I can cut down on buying what I call DUD movies that won't bring in anything. Many of these places are willing to trade with you. You may also run a classified add in your local paper that you are purchasing vhs and dvds for more then the local pawnshops are paying.Remember to keep shipping low.Vhs and dvds can be shipped media mail which is cheaper than first class.Single dvds ship cheaper first class. It helps to have a digital camera to take pictures of your vhs or dvds that eBay doesn't have a stock photo for. I have found that listings with pictures sell for more then those without. If you don't have a digital camera for pictures can google one in for free.Go to google images, type in the title and click on the image you prefer click on it again and then copy the address in the address bar and paste it in where eBAY asks for the http. You must first erase the letters http they have already inserted.Start bids low to be competitive and be sure to be honest in your description of the condition of the case, box disc or tape.If the dvd has scratches mention them. GOOD LUCK!
