Hello, and thanks for reading my guide!
So you have just pulled a Game Used jersey or a really nice Autograph from a pack of cards..your hands tremble a little and you begin to see dollar signs as you rush home to scan the card to sell it on Ebay. Well....hang on for 30 minutes or so before you do. My advice is to log onto Ebay and search the number of listings for the same card that you have in your hand. Look for the number of listings that sell, and those that go unsold. Use the Watch an item feature in My Ebay, you will learn a great deal if you do.
You might learn for instance, that you truly do have a hot card that you should get up on Ebay right now, or sooner. You may also learn that the hot Rookie Jersey card is one of 75 currently listed and will not even sell, or if it does, will sell for less than the pack price of the cards.
My advice, give it some time, and look for trends, if the card is from a new issue from the card manufacturers, you might want to put it up, if it is an older issue, it may have cooled down and you may want to make a lot listing out of the card. In the end of it all, you need to realize that if your card does not sell, you still have to pay listing fee's, for a card that does not sell. Regrettably, card manufacturers like to put out a bunch of jersey cards or autographs from defensive tackles and punters, that while neat cards, will sit in your collection for posterity.
I hope this helps, it is my first guide to date. Enjoy..
