Some of us have looked everywhere in our homes to find something to sell. Well, have you looked in your medicine cabinet? Check out your folks cabinet too. I did and found a number of items that are interesting. Medicine cabinets of people over 70 years old hold a wealth of items to sell. Because they went through the depression, they never throw anything away. Here's what to look for:
Interesting bottles ~ ones with corks instead of screw on lids are antiques. Look for interesting old labels that are in good condition. Companies with interesting names like "The Old Owl Drug Co". You might even run across a bottles with the words Opium or Cocaine and you can definitely get a nice price for them. If you find prescription bottles, be sure to throw out the medication and not sell it with the bottles.
Liniments (poisons) bring a good price on Ebay. You can usually find Wintergreen, Oil of Cedar and a plethera of others. Occassionally you might run across bottles with skull & crossbones which is always a crowd pleaser.
Bandages in their colorful boxes always seem to be in great supply and demand on Ebay.
Then there are the medications for gas and indigestion ~ These often come with quite interesting labels.
If one of your parents were or are diabetic, they may have some of the old glass syringes laying around. If they do, ask if you can have them to sell. They are quite popular.
Any bottle, box or can that looks older than you, is a good bet to sell. Don't fall into thinking people won't be interested in these old items. What you might consider trash another might consider a treasure. Let your auctions be the judge of that. Go ahead jump in and get your feet wet!
