Selling eBooks on eBay!

Do a search right now on eBay for the term “ebooks.” How many items do you find? Probably thousands!

The fact is that ebooks are one of THE best selling items on eBay. They are hugely popular with both buyers and sellers – particularly ebooks that cover something new.

So why are they so popular with buyers? Because it means that people can get information on a subject at a click of the mouse. People are incredibly lazy. They’d much prefer to pay you a few Dollars for ready collected information than spending a day or two looking for it themselves. It’s also much easier for them than going out and buying a print book – they can be reading your information minutes after buying.

And the reason they’re popular amongst sellers? Because they’re the absolute perfect item to sell – hugely popular with buyers, and you can sell them over and over again. There’s no stock to buy, no trips to the post office, and 100% profits (apart from eBay fees of course :)

The vast majority of ebooks that you will find for sale on eBay are not written by the seller. Most are ebooks with re-sell rights.

Of course, this brings an obvious advantage in that you don’t have to bother writing the items. Buy a few re-sellable ebooks and you’ve got a little business going in under an hour.

The problem with this though? You’ve got probably hundreds of competitors all trying to sell the SAME ebook as you. This inevitably forces prices down and makes them harder to sell. It’s much better to write your own ebook to sell on eBay.

“I can’t write an ebook” I hear you say! Yes you can – write about anything. A 10 or 30 page report should easily sell on eBay for $10-$15. You’ll have a totally unique product, no direct competitors, and the price should remain constant.

Selling ebooks on eBay can bring you in a LOT of money. Go get writing!
