This is my first Guide Im writing. So please bear with me.

I rarely buy movies on Ebay for the fear of purchasing a copy, bootleg, Imports/wrong region Disc. All to often Sellers don't say this in their auctions. I find this to be a very important factor when shopping for a movie. Since there are so many sellers selling the same movie, I don't even bother asking if it is. I just move on. When I do sell my movies I don't want, I am sure to tell them "This is an original just like you would buy from Walmart or Target. Not a bootleg, copy, import.." Etc. It is so important to tell what Region the disc is. Your disc may not be compatable with the buyers DVD player. Some buyers aren't even aware discs from another region won't work in their Dvd player. I learned this on Ebay.

DVDs Condition: You should always state the condition. If your DVD is new. New usually describes itself. If you have a used DVD, don't be afraid to state it has scratches. Most people only care that the movie plays fine. Alot of sellers say, "Watched Onced". Well watching once doesn't mean a thing to me. You could have watched it once and threw it on something, scratching it, or even stepped on it for all I know. How do you know it even plays if you don't watch it a second time. Buyers want to know " Like New Condition (no Scratches), Good Condition (Some light Scratches), Fair Condition ....." Personally in my opinion, DVDs in bad condition shouldn't be sold. Who likes to watch a movie that skips, or just stops completely? Here's the selling point: "Plays with no Problems". TIP: If your selling a used Dvd. Please clean the disc and case off before shipping it. It is terribly discusting to have other peoples food, smudges of something you dont want to know, or many finger prints. Trust me, it's a 'surprizing' bonus alright! But just nasty.

DVD Cases/Sleeves and inflated shipping prices:

HARD CASES: Okay, so does your movie come in an original hard case or a Sleeve? I want The hard case, but many people don't mind sleeves. I think this needs to be stated. I buy movies with hard cases because my old collection of movies(which I had to throw away) somehow got ruined in one of those multi-DVD/CD zipper holders. Over time they got wear marks which caused them to skip or shut off. Might I add, I do this myself: It it very generous of the seller to put a peice of bubble wrap, tissue paper, or whatever INSIDE the hard case. 3 of 5 times the DVD pops out and gets scratched up during shipping. You can even say you do this, and why which puts more trust into the buyer that you take extra care and give good customer service. If you walk into a store and buy something, you give the money to the cashier, she drops it, and something happens to it, but your stuck with it still. You won't be very Happy. You would argue a refund too. Same thing here.

DVD SLEEVES: Many sellers say that the "DVD is brand new; will be shipped in a Dvd sleeve"... Ugh! This is what I hate to hear....."to save shipping costs!" AND THEN... You see: Media Mail (slowest & most inexpensive mail option) $5.99! Right there I leave the auction. No way no how am I buying from this person. I know It's costs $1.42(Media Mail) with an original hard case, DVD, three pieces of bubble wrap, some wrapping paper, and tape. The customer will know this too when they get their package. I don't like being lied to. Just don't say "to save on shipping costs". Your prices are your prices for your reasons. No argument. Don't make yourself untrushworthy. I see alot of negitive feedback for this reason.

Another thing sellers give you the option of: If you want the hard case, add $2.00 extra onto the total. They are selling many of the same movie, in sleeves. This is where I really start to wonder. I personally  have too many questions about Sleeved DVDs. I avoid them. I won't even go into that.

PICTURES: If your selling a Used DVD, I think its good to show the case actually has a Dvd in it, Or take a picture of the case with the disc leaning beside it. Having a picture of the actual item, rather than a stock photo really does give the buyer more confidence in your item.

I hope this helps sellers out. I know it works for me when selling. Just be honest, and give excellent customer service. I know most of this may be obvious, but some people just don't know. You can avoid having questions asked. Questions you may not be around to answer in time, which causes you to loose a bid.

Thank You For Taking The Time To Read This.
