Selling Gymboree Wholesale - Kids Clothing on eBay for profit

Many Times over I don't think people realize how the ebay childrens clothing market really works. If your new to the ebay sellers market or just a mom out their looking to get a "good deal" on ebay, let me help clarify the in's and out's.

For sellers out there, there is no such thing as direct Gymboree Wholesale.  So, if you see Gymboree selling well on ebay........don't spend time scouring the internet trying to find some place that produces massive pallets of it.  This also goes for other brands like Baby Lulu, another hot brand on ebay.

Lets take Gymboree for instance, this clothing line is produced by Gymboree themselves and you see their clothing lines in Gymboree and the Gymboree outlets.  This clothing line is not normally sold at a children's upscale boutique because it is sold as Gymboree's own specialty line.  Gymboree does not sale direct wholesale to the public, they have mutiple in store promotions that allow the consumer to buy it at great prices. This is how everyone get's Gymboree and anyone can obtain it.

What is wholesale?  Wholesale means on average 50% Off of retail.  Most of the time you have to have business credentials in order to obtain them.

Now lets take some boutique brands for instance (Baby Lulu, Lipstik, Greggy Girl to name a few  hot ones).  A retailer purchases them for the current selling season at 50% off retail.

If you stay intuned to childrens fashion and learn the line's, you will find that ebay childrens clothing market thrives on close-outs, or the odds and ends of what maybe the manufacture left overs (a piece here, an outfit there) or what is not selling as well in certain geographical locations.  The good news for ebayers is that, its easy to find something on eBay than it is to drive all over creation looking for a hard to find line in a certain size.

So the eBay shopper may find a good deal on ebay, but the ebay sellers have to make a profit too. How is that possible if the manufactures of boutique clothing sell wholesale at 50% off, most of the ebay consumers are looking for good deals and want naturally the best deal possible. 

You will find as a seller on ebay, you need to find hot ticket items at 70-75% off retail in order to turn a profit.  So, finding childrens hot name brand clothing at those prices can be tough since, again in the wholesale world you get items at 50% off retail. **  It can be done through offprice shopping, these items once again are not always the picks of the litter or you may get one size in something verses another.  But, it is through offprice stores that most ebay sellers obtain their inventory. It is a lot of work, but its a trade off instead of buying wholesale.
