Selling Collectibles Dolls, Crystal, Vintage Books

Over the years one of the most popular items that I get calls about are collectibles and dolls. What do you do with that Barbie doll collection from your childhood? What about the Lladro or Swarovsky Crystal displays that is collecting dust? Well, these are very desirable depending on the condition and the style.  As I have spoke of in the past, not all collectible retain their value. Some are not going to bring even the price that you may have paid due to over production. But you can certainly clean out those book shelves and make room for your newer memories by selling them online.

Q: I have a huge collection of Madame Alexander Dolls that I no longer want. Can they be sold on eBay?

A: Yes, Barbies and Madame Alexander Dolls that are in excellent condition sell very well. Even more desirable are the ones that are in their boxes.  Also vintage porcelain and other antique dolls are popular as well.

Q:  I used to have a gift shop and when I closed it I had a lot of stock left over. Can you sell Swarovsky Crystal figurines and Hummels?

A:  Yes, Just Sell It quite often helps people liquidate inventory. Swarovsky crystal figurines and statues sell very well.  Hummels, Goebel, and Some LLadro statues are also quite popular.

Q: I have a large collection of antique books that I would like to get rid of. Is there a demand for them?

A; Vintage books of all types are also popular. The most important factor that makes them valuable would be the condition of the binding.  A book from the 1800”s that is quite rare is worth very little if the binding is torn or no longer intact. When well preserved they can be great for collectors.

Q: I need to get rid of my collection of Longaberger baskets. I love them but no longer have the space. How would I go about selling them?

A: Organize the collection and make sure they are in great shape. Longaberger baskets are quite nice and have a pretty good resale rate online. Once again you may not get even what you paid for them initially. However some may be worth even more depending on their rarity.
