So you Are Selling Clothing Items from Thrift Stores...

Here are a few things that you may want to ask yourself before selling these items:

1. Does the item smell of must, mildew, moth balls, smoke, or perfume?

If so, Make sure the Garments have been aired out or washed        before selling.  Hanging on a line outside during a nice breezy day will eliminate most or all of the odors.  Buyers don't want to open up their packages to find that the items smell.

2. Is that item that you are selling NWT (New With Tags)?

If so, then great!  List the item NWT (New With Tags).  But if the item has NO tags do not list the Item NWOT( New Without Tags), by doing this, you are misleading the buyer.  Most items that you purchase from a Thrift store have come from someone who has worn the item previously.  Unless the item has Tags, it is not new.

3.  Is the item a leather garment?

If the item, in fact, is a leather garment, you can get a great sale from this.  If you purchased a Leather dress at the Thrift Store for $10.00 you can usually resell the item on Ebay for more than double of what you had paid for the item.

4.  Do you have a Dress Form or Mannequin to display your wears?

See Examples:

By having a Form or a Mannequin to Display your items, your chances of getting great selling prices increases dramatically.
People want to see what they are buying, and how it would possibly look on them.

5.  How does you auction look?

Does the design and layout look great or drab?  There are many free design layout websites that are integrated to work with Ebay.  Do a Search on the internet and look for them.  Some will allow you to post more than one picture in your auciton listing without incurring any additional fees.

6.  Are you selling what people want?

Do your homework before reselling anything.  Go to some of ebays' auciton listings and see if people are selling things similar to what you want to sell.  If they are good, but if the items are actually selling, GREAT!  Set up a low starting price, for your first item, with normal shipping fees and see how it sells and for how much?  That way you know what you are getting yourself into before it becomes too costly for you.

And Lastly, Have a Great Time Selling.  Be Profitable, Make Tons of Cash, and Be Honest!  The Better the Feedback, and the higher your feedback percentage is,  The more you will sell!
