I have a few things I want to mention to sellers about selling CB Radios on Ebay. If you have taken the time to post your CB radio for auction on Ebay, then you must be intending to sell it. If you want to make a sale and receive Positive Feedback after the transaction is complete, and get top dollar for your item, here's a small list of things you should do in order to achieve that goal.

Start by cleaning the unit up a bit and make it look good, a little Armor All and some 409 will make a case look brand new, even if it has some scratches. Get an old tooth brush and pull the knobs off and clean the face plate and all the front nooks and crannies, you'd be amazed at the difference with a bit of effort. Would you try to sell your car if it was covered in mud? Think about appearances and first impressions.

Next and most important, hook the radio up to a power supply or find someway to test the lights and indicator lamps/LEDs before you post your item for sale. Be sure to take a picture of the unit with the lights on, no one will be overly impressed, with a radio with no lights working in the photo. and if you post the picture with no lights on, you better be stating they don't work, if not then go get the gun and shoot yourself in the foot right now.

Then, make sure you have all the accessories possible, power cords, mounting brackets, microphone, original manual, box... It's easier to sell your car with a motor, steering wheel, and tires right?

Also, make sure that the Transmit and Receive work as well on your unit, if not, then post it as a parts radio and don't just say something unintelligent like, "It worked the last time I used it" or "Found in storage/estate sale/closet/ or whatever" or the famous "Everything seems to be working" If you want to get Negative Feedback super fast, then tell those lies.

Remember, a CB'ers worst enemy is the guy who sold him a dead "Ra-did-e-o"... and trust me, we're gonna test it long before we post your feedback review! And we ain't skeered to tell it like it is.

I hope many people read this post and I hope that you all understand a bit more about how to sell CB Radios on Ebay.

Thanks,
Dwight
