Sellers who hide behind 'religion' to cheat people and other scams
Probably nothing is more disgusting than people who proclaim to the world what noble Christians they are, peppering their emails with "God bless you", "Praise God" and so on and so on - only to steal from those they do business with.
I recently had such an experience with one eBay seller I feel I need to warn you about. Now it's risky to try to leave negative feedback because so many eBay sellers abuse the system to cover up their own scams and fraud like some schoolyard bully:
"Hey, I cheated you, sucker! So what? If you dare raise a voice in protest with negative feedback, I'll do exactly the same to you ... so shut up, bend over and spread your cheeks."
In fact, the only negative feedback I've received is from such bullies (3 in the past six years). And I've left very little negative feedback for others. Check my records.
Except for the ones I'm about to tell you about, I count
- one on May 5, 2006 (wrentech)
- a neutral on March 16, 2006 worth mentioning (silent_hearts (no loner an eBay member) - who charged "insurance" for a link to a website - which is a violation of eBay rules)
- a negative for 1pink_gurl (kicked off eBay) for a scam on Feb. 27, 2006, taking money and refusing to shop item or respond to emails and snail mails
- a negative for speedy47 (Jul. 25, 2003) who sent a broken computer, then kept the insurance money for himself and was extremely rude and nasty
- a negative for majicmall1 Jun. 28, 2003 (he's now also kicked off eBay) who posted a totally fraudulent ad for a product nothing like what was advertised and also refused to answer e-mails, though he DID get paid contrary to his B.S. claim
- a negative for olukegoods Jun. 28, 2003 who had a -2 rating and was also kicked off eBay for fraud. He called me a SOB in his feedback after promising 4 times to ship an item he never did send.
- one negative left by mistake for the wrong seller bubblehere on Jun. 26, 2003.
That's 6 negatives and formal complaints that resulted in 3 fraudulent sellers being kicked off eBay, so you can see I'm pretty restrained in leaving negatives.
This month, though, I am forced to leave 5 negative feedbacks - all for one seller, jvm18. And I did this only after repeated emails asking for delivery of the five items I purchased.
You might notice this seller has changed his name three times:

They admitted they did not send them and apologized, promising that they were being sent out. They still have not arrived a month later, even though they claim they sent one item (a Zip drive) by USPS Priority mail.
After their claim that the items "were in the mail" (the second time), they have refused to answer any follow-up inquiries or send the items. They responded only once, the first time, saying:
"Your items have been found and mailed out. We also are refunding you $10 for the hassle. We pray you will forgive us for this oversight. God Bless."
And of course, they pose as God-fearing Christians who would never cheat anyone. Those are always the worst kind.
A wise man once said, "Beware of he who proclaims his honesty, for he may have his hand on your wallet while he speaks."

eBay's feedback system leaves too little room for adequate comment or explanation of the facts, so you might just want to consider writing a review or guide like this to tell the rest of the story.
UPDATE: The seller referred to here finally came through (after six weeks of wildly conflicting excuses as to why the item had not been shipped. He offered a full refund as well, which I declined because I felt he did deserve to paid because I did (finally!) receive the items.
