Sellers for a service that not all are using, there fore costing money on every sale you are eligible for free delivery conformation on your priority and express packages when you purchase shipping with paypal. Together with the added cost of not purchasing boxes as to this are free at the Post office or you can order right through eBay shipping center. Print your labels on line this is very easy to do. That best feature about this is that this makes the package eligible for paypal protection services. If you ship media, parcel or first class delivery conformation will be a steal at $.14 verses the $.55 at the postal window. I use this feature all the time to be sure my eBay items are in the buyers hands. You can even buy insurance, major benefit of this is that if a claim is needed , buyer just has to click on delivery conformation email and scroll down to file the claim. NO need to send receipt or anything. Except maybe apologize to buyer.
eBay makes this so easy to do:
*go to my eBay and click on print shipping
*this will take you to your paypal sign in page
*sign in and all the information is already entered for you
*weigh your package enter in what service to use (priority, express, first class, parcel post, media)
*purchase insurance (if wanted)
*click continue
*verify information
*Pay and continue
*print label (sample displayed) view for errors.
*Click print label
*adhere to package
*take to Post Office or hand to carrier.
If you need to cancel for any reason, it does take up to 2 weeks to receive a refund( this is to be sure you did not use the label).
This is a huge time saver in the postal line, I feel more secure knowing buyer received items. Great money saver because priority boxes are free and free delivery conformation on top of it.
On the average I would say using the priority mail system you could cut your shipping cost in half. Draw back is you need to purchase a decent postal scale ( I got mine on eBay for $17.00 delivered).
I use self stick labels (bought on eBay) and only print a 1/2 of sheet by using printer settings. This saves labels and ink.
So if you print your Priority or Express labels on line, you save on boxes ( free verses approx $1.00 a box), free delivery conformation, and not having to drive to post office. And only printing 1/2 label. I know I save at least half of my shipping cost.
