Not too long ago i sold a pen collection. I am not an expert in the area of fountain pens and did admit as much, perhaps that was my mistake. For the most part the pen sales went well and i learned a lot about vintage pens and pen collectors. Here again, most of the pen collectors were outstanding to work with and offered suggestions that i used. I take very good close up photos and lots of them. To make a long story short, there were three pens that were expensive, one is excess of $300 that were sold, packed very well and shipped out. The buyers complained that the caps were, cracked, broken, did not seat properly. I had the pens returned and refunded the money. The issue here is that the caps i got back were not the ones i shipped out with the pens.....didn't match the photos. I sent out good product and got junk back. Of course they all filed complaints with Pay Pal and eBay and they got their money back. They upgraded to a very nice item. I guess all i'm saying here is be careful, do your best with the listing and i guess if i had it to do over again, i would fight this, but the result would probably be the same.
