Small note: I bought one of those Seiko pilot's watches being sold on Ebay by seller Pokemanyu in Singapore. I'm sure the watch is genuine. The case and bracelet are both stainless steel, but there must be varying grades of stainless because in a very short time the clasp where it says "Seiko" has become very scratched, it seems very easily. At work my left hand where I wear my watches rests atop the desk I sit at. The clasp is in constant contact with the desk surface, resulting in scratches. I'm sure a better grade of stainless steel would be more scratch resistant. I have a similar problem with my Swiss Army watch and my Stauer, both also with stainless steel bands. Maybe someone out there can enlighten me re: the properties of stainless steel. I see some ads referring to 316L stainless, is that the best grade used in watches? I'm sure someone has better info than I. Thanks in advance.
