Getting Gymboree at wholesale prices to resale - "Secrets" revealed

First things first, Gymboree does NOT have a wholesale distribution center to sell lots of their clothing to the public. They also do not accept tax id numbers.

That being said, everyone that sells Gymboree obtains their clothing one of several ways. Here are the most common ways you can purchase Gymboree clothing for resale:

1. GET THE STORE SALES!!!!!!

Gymboree is constantly adding new lines to their collections and so they mark down the older lines to make more room! So you are going to be on the look-out for the older lines when they go to really good prices (a price you feel comfortable paying based on the fact you are going to resale and need to make a profit yourself). You can check out my other guides as I have information in them about price guidelines for purchasing clothing for resale. In addition to the sale price, Gymboree often has coupons out or a special sale on top of the sale!!!!! They also have their famous GYMBUCKS!!! These sales and Gymbucks are when you can really get the good prices!!! If you get a Gymboree Visa you can get an extra 5% off your purchase every time you use the card! This adds up quickly and they do a double discount sometimes so you get even more savings!!!

2. PURCHASE A WHOLESALE LOT ON EBAY!!!!!!!!!

There are many wholesale lots available on ebay for you to purchase. You can find many different size lots available so you can purchase one in the price range you feel comfortable with!! I sell many different size lots on ebay and am willing to work with you to come up with a size that you want.

POINTER: Stay away from double bid listings if you are purchasing for resale. Double the bid lots are more for people purchasing for their own children, as gifts, etc... For this, the double bid lots are GREAT savings, but for resale they are not. You will not be able to make much if any money selling when you purchase as a double bid.

POINTER: Purchase from a reputable seller that has been selling on ebay for a while. I am not saying new sellers are bad they just have no sales record and when you are investing a chunk of your money in your business you want to make sure you buy from someone that will give you a quality lot!!!

POINTER: Always ask questions of the seller if there is ANYTHING you are not sure of or have concerns about. As the old saying goes, the only stupid question is the one not asked!!! Never be afraid to ask questions, remember this is your money you are investing in your business!

3. CHECK THE GYMBOREE WEBSITE!

This is the same as the stores but you will usually have much less choices! They generally sell out of items much quicker online. They also are particular about how much of each item you purchase so you may not be able to get everything you want.

JUST FOR YOUR INFORMATION: Online is where the poly bagged clothing comes from.

EXTRA POINTERS:

*Remember when listing your items for sale to ALWAYS put the line name in your title and listing body!!!!! This is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo important!!! You will get more lookers & bidders which means more profit for you!!!!

*From my experience GIRLS 12 month through 8 years sells the best. Other sizes and Boy clothing sell well also just be cautious about your starting bids if you are doing an auction or consider doing them as a BIN (Buy It Now) to ensure you receive the price you need for them.

*Remove ALL markdown stickers from the tags!!! They look cheesy and people don't feel like they are getting such a great deal if they pay $20 for something that has a sale tag of $10 on it!!!!!

*ALWAYS send your packages out with DC (Delivery Confirmation). If you purchase at the Post Office it will cost you .45 and UP. If you print your shipping labels online (HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS) it is .14 for DC unless you are sending by Priority Mail, then it is FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!
