The speed will differ also according to the size of the person using it. That is why it is so important to find one that is suitable to the size of the person. You will want one that has large tires. The small tires are not good for big guys or gals. You will want to check the width of the scooter. The scooters are all made so differently. Easy adjustments are very important. Some brands are more difficult to adjust than others. The height adjusts, etc.. They make these according to size. The scooters now a days are so shaped to the individual that there is no reason to be uncomfortable. We bought one at a garage sale it is is totally awesome. We only paid a small amount for it compared to what it is worth. If money is an issue shop around.
