My master is concern with this new feedback system.... Don't know why, my master has Great Customer Service ! So, I like to talk to you about the new DSR (Detailed Seller Report) for all sellers on eBay.

Any DSR can be seen on any sellers eBay Feedback Profile page or eBay My World page!
Buyers can leave detailed seller ratings in Four Areas:
1. Item as Described 2. Communication 3. Shipping Time 4. Shipping & Handling Charges
Here's the " 5 " Star Rating System broken down for you:
1. Very Accurate
2. Accurate
3. Neither inaccurate or accurate
4. Inaccurate
5. Very Inaccurate
Penalties are placed on a eBay seller now if their DSR' (Detailed Seller Report) ratings average or drop below 4.3 out of 5.0.
As of November 1, 2008, sellers will need at least a 4.3 across all four DSR categories, over the prior 30 day or 12 month period depending on volume, in order to list on the site.
Active eBay sellers have a seller dashboard which goes into detail with all aspects of their:
- Search standing
- PowerSeller discount (applies to those who have met the requirements)
- PowerSeller status (applies to those who have met the requirements)
- Policy compliance
- Buyer satisfaction
- Account status
One of the four areas where sellers receive Less Stars is the Shipping & Handling charges rating.
Let's take a look at this for a moment. My master mailed a recent package out that cost us $4.75 cents. His shipping charge was $5.99 cents for Priority Mail. We will gladly combine shipments when possible . The profit we made was $1.24 cents. One must factor in the cost of the shipping mailer as well as the costs of gas it takes to drive to the local U.S.P.S. which at this time in the state of Texas is over $4.00 a gallon. Another factor also is the shipping materials used to protect your auction item. For international transactions, you may also be responsible for duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees as requested by country laws. Now that profit is gone ! I don't even get a can of "Fancy Feast" oh, well. As mentioned above, be fair to a seller or my master when it comes to shipping & handling.
FEEDBACK- is now calculated on a 12 month percentage. ( That's a long time in cat terms! )
So, think before leaving the orange star icons on each feedback comment for a seller.
Positive feedback , the Green icon is what all sellers like my master strive for on eBay.
A Negative feedback icon, the Red icon is very bad for sellers. Give this if you have no choice in the matter. Bad sellers make it bad for all eBayers
My master tells every buyer to email us with any concerns or issues prior to leaving Neutral or Negative feedback, as we can only correct issues when we are aware of them. "
Once a rating is left, it cannot be changed, it is imperative that you contact your seller prior to posting Negative feedback if you have any concerns or issues about the transaction. My master and I strive for total customer satisfaction !
Some Buyers admit that they gave their seller's a 4
out of 5 star rating on some aspects of the DSR since they (buyer) believed that no one should receive a full 5 star rating. I feel a hairball coming up on this kind of thinking.
This is really sad since, all it will do is really hurt the Seller; who is trying to provide the best service to you and others on eBay . That's my paws on this topic.
