It was in 2002 that Screenlife introduced Scene It? Movie Edition, the first ever DVD game. Scene It? has recently become very popular becoming an international, award-winning brand with games that include these editions: HBO, James Bond (007), TCM, Warner Brothers, Sports, Music, Harry Potter, Disney, TV, Deluxe Movie, Deluxe Sequel, Junior, Friends, Squabble, Nickelodeon, Marvel Comics, and The OC Edition. Other DVD expansion games are released every year. Players can choose either a short or long game, and adjust the Flextime game board: for a short game, the board is folded so fewer spaces show. Most Scene It? DVD Games can be played without the Flextime Game Board using everything included in the Game Pack.
Ready to play? You'll need 2 or more players or teams, so divide up, turn on the TV set, and follow these simple rules: to begin play, each player throws a six-sided die to determine the first player. Moving clockwise, the players roll both the ordinary die and a customized eight-sided "category die" to see how far the player moves, and what challenge the player faces. The challenge can be a trivia card question, a DVD challenge, ("My Play" or "All Play"), or the player may have to draw a "Buzz card" (cards are often renamed in special edtions) - the game's version of chance cards. If the player succeeds in the challenge, the player gets another turn, drawing another card and rolls the dice again, but if the player fails, the dice are handed to the next player. This process keeps going until someone hits the All Play to Win stop sign, in which that player must win one final All Play, in which all players participate, in order to win. If not, the players go to ring 3 of the zone called Final Cut. Here the players must answer 3 questions correctly. If that fails, then on the next turn the players have to answer only 2 questions correctly; and if that fails, then on the next turn the players have to answer only 1 question correctly. If a Final Cut challenge is won, then that player wins the game, and gets to watch a victory scene on the DVD (a generous winner will allow all fellow players to watch the victory scene).
