Saxon Math is one of the best homeschool curriculum course choices you can make. Saxon Algebra 1/2 is a great subject. Don't let the 1/2 fool you. It is half pre algebra and half Algebra 1. In my experience this subject far surpasses even the public school course of Algebra 1. Saxon definitely has a method of teaching that brings the student very far academically. We have used Saxon Math for over 13 years and have always done excellent on tests. My second child aced the college entrance exam and she only completed Saxon Algebra 1. Excellent math course.
